In fact it was God's idea.
And probably one of the greatest gifts of God to His people second only to REDEMPTION!
SIMPLE GUIDELINES
The Couple to be is encouragedto LIVE the Master, Mission,Mate LIFE.
This is all about the Absolute Lordship of Jesus Christ in your life.

Remember that Jesus is our primary reason for living (see Romans 10:9; Col 2:8, 9).
Master, Mission, Mate means that our primary purpose for living is JESUS and His Glory (MASTER). Then honoring Him through serving other people using our gifts and talents (MISSION).
While the (MATE) is seen as a gift given by God to us.
Purity in Relationships as Youths and Singles must be top priority.
It would help not to go alone together all the time except for discussion and preparation for your marriage in the near future. Romantic Intimacy must be saved for the wedding day and / or during engagement lime. Take note: Any form of pre-marital sex is sin!
The Couple must be active Ministry Members.
Both of you must he convinced that servanthood within the local church is of primary importance.
The Couple should build a Home for the Glory of God.

This must be your primary purpose of preparation, not just the wedding day — but the marriage for life. Although the wedding day is special and only once celebrated, all our efforts must be towards the building of a strong and glorifying marriage for God.
Always remember that Marriage is a covenant relationship BETWEEN MAN, WOMAN and GOD.
The Couple Should Receive Their Parents' Blessings
The parents' blessing must be given by both parties (groom's and the bride's) unless and except for other valid reasons.
The Couple Must Attend The Pre-Marital Counseling ENGAGEMENT CELL or OVER-NIGHT Retreat
Assigned work must be done cooperatively by the "couple" in the context of a “SMALL Group Discovery” time with other engaged couples. A time of openness with regards to the past and mutual understanding of differing personality traits must be part of the preparation.

Usually during the pre-marital preparation SMALL GROUP or a few days after the said Pre-marital Counseling. Announcement of Marriage is highly encouraged in the context of the church participation for prayer and joy. The person in charge of the Couples Ministry or FAMILY MINISTRIES of His Life Ministries or the Pastor must be informed of the said announcement.
The Couple Will Be The One To Secure All Necessary Permits
They will apply for their Marriage License (Bacolod City Health OR whichever city they will be WEDDED); Venue of Choice Permit (Notarized then give to HLM OFFICE ADMIN Secretary); and etc. Filing of the Marriage Contract All papers given after the registration of Marriage must be handed over to the Church Secretary OR HLM ADMIN OFFICE for finalization and preparation.
Practice For The Wedding Day
This must be with the people with important roles on the Wedding day.
Done at least 2 or more days before the scheduled wedding celebration.

IMPORTANT
MATTERS
- Choose prayerfully your Sponsors (ninongs and ninangs).
- Ask help from an experienced Wedding Coordinator.
- Make sure who your Officiating Minister would be (set an appointment).
- Prepare to write letters of Request for the venue of your wedding.
- Engagement Cells OR Discovery Nights (two Sessions) is a prerequisite for all His Life Weddings.
- In cases of a CIVIL Marriage OR the marriage has already been officially registered, the church recommends a “Thanksgiving Blessing Ceremony” instead.
- Christian Couples who have already physically consummated their marriage will forfeit a church wedding but the church recommends a “Civil Wedding” for such cases. AND CASE TO CASE BASIS.
- Couples who have been deprived of a Christian Wedding due to certain reasons before they were born again will he given the proper wedding ceremony.
- Cases of divorce / legal separation / re-marriages and etc. are referred to further counseling and guidance.
- Cases of “Common law” marriages and the like, will be taken into consideration according to the Philippine Family Code Guide.
NOTE:
We strongly advice NOT to set a FINAL DATE First if you haven't had an INTERVIEW yet with your Officiating Pastor.
